Huntley Project Lions & Lioness Club
Lions Club Mission
The mission of the Lions Clubs International is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace, and promote international understanding through Lions clubs. Huntley Project Lions & Lioness Club is a local nonprofit organization supporting the local Huntley Project area through volunteer activities, scholarships, and goodwill.
Join the Club!
The Huntley Project Lions Club was chartered in September 1954. The Lions club meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday’s at Homesteader Hall. The Lioness Club meets the first Tuesday at Homesteader Hall. Current membership is all from the Huntley Project area. New members are always welcome! Dues are $75.00 per year, payable in January.
Club Projects
The club has invested over $260,000 into maintenance and improvements for the Homesteader Hall and Park. We also fund many other projects, including:
- Huntley Project Museum
- Baseball program
- Summer library program
- Book purchase program at school
- Christmas Bright program
- Playground equipment
- Barkemeyer
- Worden Fire Department
- Summer lunch program
- Huntley Project Schools track renovation
Supported Projects
HP Lions & Lioness Club supports many projects in the community with the proceeds from Homesteader Days, including the following projects:
